Xiaomi’s Next Event On July 16 | Mi5 Launch On Cards
Xiaomi today announced on its Weibo social account about upcoming July 16 event. The Chinese company posted a teaser image featuring words “PK”. While the featured image fails to tell about the product, but that product could be Xiaomi Mi5. The poster also gives a hint towards metal body for the upcoming flagship device, but again we have to wait till Thursday for the event to launch.
For all those who does not know, Xiaomi Mi4 was launched last year on July 22, almost a year ago. Both Mi 3 and Mi 4 broke records, selling about more than 100,000 units within 10 minutes after made available online. A lot of Xiaomi fans are excited about Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi5 Plus which are already making headlines for allegedly leaks features and their much anticipated announcement.
Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip set, 16 Mega pixel back camera, 5.2 inch screen display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, 565 ppi, and 3,000 mAh battery. With features like 4k resolution, 4GB RAM, 820 Qualcomm chip set and 5.2 inches screen, Xiaomi Mi 5 price would be affordable. Mi5 Plus is expected to feature 5.7 inch IPS screen display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels & Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus could be supported by 4 GB of RAM and 3,500 mAh battery along with Snapdragon 820 chip set under the hood. The Mi5 plus dimension measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95mm & weighs in at 160 gm. Both these phones will be incorporated with Android Lollipop Operating system.
