Xiaomi sold 800000 handsets of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 in 12 hours
Xiaomi which was founded in 2010 is a mobile internet company which is dedicated to creating an amazing user experience. It has now become one of the leading tech firms in China. Xiaomi’s main portfolio of products includes smartphones, MIUI ROM, MiTalk and MiBox. The company is now again in news after having a record brake sale of its new smartphone.
Around 800,000 units of the Xioami Redmi Note 2 of Xiaomi was sold within 12 hours on Sunday. The price of the phone is approximately Rs.10,200 but the company might keep the device limited to China and has mentioned that it will not be released in India. The phone has a display of 5.50 inches having a resolution of 1080X1920 pixels and 400PPI. Some of its general specifications include : weight of 160gm and dimension of 152X76X8.25mm. It has a removable battery having capacity of 3060mAh.
In addition to this, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 works on 2GHz octa-core processor and RAM of 2GB. It has an internal storage of 16GB which is expandable to 32GB. Moreover, there is a 5MP front camera and 13MP rear camera with flash. The operating system is Android 5.0. For connectivity, there is a feature of Wi-Fi, GPS, Infrared, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth v4.00. It is a dual SIM phone and supports only Micro-SIM. Both the SIMs are GSM. Furthermore, it supports both 3G and 4G. Like any other phone it also sensors like that of ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, temperature sensor etc.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime smartphones were launched last week along with the new MIUI 7 custom ROM based on Android 5.0, at an event in Beijing. The second flash sale of the Redmi Note 2 is scheduled for August 24. Also, an event is being held in New Delhi on Wednesday in order to unveil the MIUI7 custom ROM.
It has been accepted by the customers with open arms as it had a record sale within 12 hours, but now let us see whether it is up to the expectations of the customers.
