WWDC 2015 Expectations, Predictions And Preview

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2015) kicks off on June 8 2015 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. The event will go on till June 12 2015. The Apple key note address will start at 10.30 pm Indian Standard Time.

WWDC 2015 Invitation

WWDC 2015 Invitation

Apple’s WWDC 2015 like other previous WWDC event will be of great importance, giving highlights of Apple’s future strategy and road map. Apple’s developer community will join at WWDC to learn about future course of OS X and iOS, helping them to create more innovative applications for Apple.

What Products Can We Expect From Apple At WWDC 2015 Event?

  • Apple TV Update

While rumours across the line are not expecting Apple’s TV update, but for us Apple TV update looks very likely. Even the WWDC 2015 invitation has a round square box in the middle, just like new Apple TV. Another thing that gives a strong chance or Apple TV update to come is the time line, it has been very long time since Apple updated its TV set top box. Other thing we might expect is the Apple’s TV App Store, not only linking the Apple TV to the iOS apps that we love, but also the games.

Apple will also look to solve the problem and many critics have pointing out is that if you want to watch any specific series you have to go on hunting around to find which of the Apple’s  TV channels is showing that.

  • Apple iOS 9

This is the one thing that you can put your money on. iOS 9 will be the Apple’s next operating system for iPhones, iPads, iPods and Macs. iOS 9 is the first announcement that Apple lovers will like to see and all hope that 9 version will be more exciting to see than iOS 8. Apple’s new OS version – iOS 9 will focus on improvements rather than completely changing the course of OS.

The efforts will be made on performance, stability, optimisation rather than looking for all new features and designs. The rumors also points that iOS9 will easily support as handsets as old as iPhones 4s to current iPhone 6 Plus and upcoming Apple iPhone 7 (or iPhone 6s). Apart from improvements which is surely on cards,  some new features might enter into picture in iOS 9 like – public transport directions in Maps, a Google Now predictive personal assistant code named ‘Proactive’, new or updated Swift programming language & iCloud Drive, along with dedicated iCloud Drive app, and finally a new Wi-Fi security measures when using non trusted routers.

  • Apple’s New Mac OS X

Apple is likely to announce new version after Mac OS X 10.10 ‘Yosemite’ ; Mac OS X 10.11. Apple’s new version 10.11 will focus on bug fixes, security improvements and stability rather than any new flashy changes. Mac users will also like to see improvements in WiFi & networking part.

Some new and updated Force touch features are also expected to take place in new Mac OS X version. Mac OS X Yosemite was launched last year at same time, and released in October 2014. Similarly, we expect to see Mac OS X 10.11 version on 8 June 2015 and releasing in October 2015.

  • Apple Pay Might Launch Outside US

Apple might take a step forward and expand the Apple’s Pay service outside US. Other countries that already enjoy Apple Pay services are Canada, Europe and China. But, this time Apple might announce to roll out this service to other countries like UK and Belgium.

  • New Apple Macs

Apple iMac without Retina display might get a update since its release in 2013. A new Mac Pro 2015 might also launch at WWDC 2015 event between 8 June to 12 June. There are also possibilities that Apple won’t launch any Mac updates this June, because they have already launched all new MacBook, along with updates to the MacBook Air & MacBook Pro this year itself on March 9 during launch of Apple Watch event.

  • New Apple display

This is the one thing we all are hoping for. Apple’s Thunderbolt Display was launched way back in July 2011, so we might see a new series and range of Apple Display this June.

  •  iTunes Radio streaming service And Apple TV streaming service

Apple TV Streaming services intends to put together all the bundles of popular TV channels & stream them directly to your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV using the internet. Apple is also working to relaunch iTunes radio with Beats Music technology.

  • Things That Have A Rare Chance To Be Launch At WWDC 2015

Apple’s new iPhones and iPads are two things that are very unlikely to be launch at WWDC event starting from June 8, 2015. We have to wait until September 2015 when Apple will launch its all new iPhone(s).

So hold your nerves, and get ready to see what all Apple is bringing to you this June!
