Taylor Swift Fights for Musicians Everywhere
It is a fact that Taylor Swift Fights for Musicians Everywhere!
In your entire life, you will hardly meet anyone who doesn’t know about Taylor Swift. Even after years of its release, you can see thousands of people still listening to Love Story and singing along with passion. She has been a big success since her first album, and even today, she is one of the biggest names in the music industry and extremely powerful and socially influential.
Everyone is aware of how kind, compassionate and appreciative Taylor is as an idol and as a human being, but her new announcement, which was published by her on Tumblr, has made even her critics respect her. In her statement, she addresses Apple and their new streaming service, Apple Music. The original policy for the service offered a three months trial of music for the users, only to be made payable after those three months of usage, but the service refused to provide any royalty or compensation to the musicians, producers and the songwriters of the music they offered in those three months.
“I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company,” said Swift.
Apple did not receive any criticism on their policy by the musicians who were scared to raise their voice against such a giant brand, but Swift took it upon herself to fight for their right and raise her voice against the injustice that was being done to them while remaining extremely polite and considerate. Swift mentions how she has been in the music industry for a period of time and have earned enough fame and money to support her crew, but she is willing to take the bullet and stand up for all the young and new singers, writers, and producers who work tremendously hard on their art and will still not be paid for it.
After she raised the issue, Apple pondered upon it and within 24 hours the payment policy was changed and the company agreed to pay the artists, all thanks to our Tay-Tay here.
“We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple,” tweeted the executive Eddy Cue.
