OnePlus 3 leaked in AnTuTu Benchmarks, flagship killer of 2017?
After many leaks, it has finally come to see light, OnePlus 3, the new flagship killer for 2017 has leaked in new AnTuTu benchmarks. OnePlus has struck down rumors pointing to a launch in April. It’s now clear that on April 7, we won’t be seeing the OnePlus 3, instead some other device from OnePlus for the China market. This leaves us to flip through dates to see OnePlus 3. This year has seen really big improvements in tech with Samsung leading the pack with the Galaxy S7. S7 has set a new design standard with a premium finish and some innovative hardware. HTC is also on the rumor wagon with many leaks on One M10 and other devices set to launch soon.
OnePlus 3 is dubbed the flagship killer of 2017, but that certainly might not be true since OnePlus 2 fell short of the goal with some let downs in hardware. The real flagship killer was OnePlus One and OnePlus is all ready to follow that legacy with the third iteration. OnePlus 3 was seen testing with similar hardware to this year’s flagships, what makes it different though is the price. The new iteration from OnePlus comes with Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM which seems awfully similar to the Galaxy S7 and recent other flagships.
The camera on the OnePlus 3 will be seen a bump up. Rather than reducing the megapixels, most companies sticking to 12 Megapixels, we will see a 16 Megapixel shooter on the OnePlus 3 and for selfies, we will have an 8 Megapixel shooter on the front. This will be a significant improvement from OnePlus 2 which had a 13 Megapixel shooter with added goodies. The display as per the leaks retains the same 5.5 inch screen size and stepping up to QHD resolution (2560×1440). OnePlus 3 has very similar hardware and guts to Android counterparts, OnePlus will need to come up with an innovative strategy to keep up with current devices.
