OnePlus 2 Launch Date Confirmed – Is your invite Ready ?
If you were impressed by OnePlus One as the first product of its company. You sure as hell will have high hopes for One Plus 2 too. We don’t know a huge amount about the OnePlus 2 yet, but it’s supposedly set to land during the third quarter of 2015.
Carl Pei, the 25-year-old co-founder of OnePlus said that we can expect to see the OnePlus 2 sometime around June 2015. However, as we have seen with the OnePlus One, supply and demand will likely be something of a problem. Although the company is now much larger and has learned from its experiences with its first smartphone, Pei said it will be cautious not to overproduce.
Latest Update : OnePlus 2 Launch Date Confirmed
OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 2 will be unveiled on 27th July, and that it will be the world’s first product to launch in VR (virtual reality). “A VR launch lets you stand right next to our team and our fans as we unveil our new flagship. You’ll be able to look around as you check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs. It’s a new way of thinking about a product launch. We aren’t talking at you; we are talking with you,” writes OnePlus on its blog.
What we expect?
With the success of one plus one the expectations of One Plus Two are soaring even higher.
Here are a few things we would like to see in One Plus 2 :
- A more premium built: One plus One holds the reputation of a top tier handset however the customers would like to see this in a better built like Bamboo or metal maybe.
- Low price: like its previous ancestor we also expect it to have a reasonably low price.
- A microsd card slot: unlike its predecessor we would want One plus Two to have better storage.
- Removable battery: Another slight disappointment with the OnePlus One was that the battery isn’t removable. That’s the case with a lot of phones and the OnePlus One does at least have quite good battery life.
Will you need an invite?
Yes. OnePlus has now made the OnePlus One available without an invite any day of the week, but has at the same time confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will use the same invitation-only system.
OnePlus said: “With the experiences we’ve gained with the One, we will be far more prepared to make the same transition with the OnePlus 2. Yes, the 2 will initially launch with invites. We’re committed to maintaining razor-thin margins in order to give as much value as possible back to our users, and this drastically increases our risk.”
Rather than Cyanogen the OnePlus 2 will run the company’s own OxygenOS. It will be open, customizable and free of bloat, according to OnePlus.
Here is how they said its better:
“We can offer better localization and faster updates. We can directly implement user feedback and make it easy for the OnePlus community to shape our ROM and create the OS that they want to use. Integration between hardware, software, and the cloud will become more seamless and unified for everyone using a OnePlus device. By creating our own software, we’re better able to work directly with our users to improve our OS. It’s something we’ve become quite fond of saying: when we work together, amazing things happen.”
With such information at hand and such a humdrum for its launch date One Plus is sure to have a benefit up its sleeve. And as for the new phone I am sure the tech geeks just can’t wait. You can follow Giztimes on Facebook, twitter and Google Plus for more related stuff !
