by Giz TimesJuly 3, 2015

From last couple of weeks OnePlus is revealing numerous posts and teasers regarding what the future holds for the upcoming OnePlus 2 flagship. Recently the Chinese company reported on their social networking weibo that the upcoming flagship will be the first Android phone to highlight USB Type C port, along with finger print-sensor and 1.8 Ghz Snapdragon 810 CPU.

OnePlus has already announced that the OnePlus 2 will be unveiled on 27th July 2015, and that it will be the world’s first product to launch in VR (virtual reality).

OnePlus said: “With the experiences we’ve gained with the One, we will be far more prepared to make the same transition with the OnePlus 2. Yes, the 2 will initially launch with invites. We’re committed to maintaining razor-thin margins in order to give as much value as possible back to our users, and this drastically increases our risk.”

OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu ( other name is Pete Lau ) made a short statement on his Weibo account asking : how to define “full metal”? The comment was pretty obvious that the upcoming flagship model is expected to be fully metallic or with metallic chassis.

OnePlus is also giving away 1,000 OnePlus Cardboards for OP2 launch free of cost. The company in their blog said :

But, in our excitement, we really can’t wait that long. So, right now we’re giving away 1,000 headsets to our fans, and we’ll cover the shipping for the selected winners!

We couldn’t be more excited about this, and that’s why we want to see every single one of you at launch. This is going to be an amazing moment in tech industry history. Don’t you want to be a part of it ?

Rather than Cyanogen OS the OnePlus 2 will run the company’s own Oxygen OS. It will be open, customizable and free of bloat, according to OnePlus. OnePlus2 like OnePlus One will come up with minimal price with pretty good features in its kitty. The OnePlus2 price might go up to USD $349 for 64 GB model and USD $400 for 128 GB model.
