What will be the future of the IPL? This is the question which is making many cricket fans upset. After the verdict on the IPL betting scandal on the report submitted by the Justice R. M. Lodha committee has created doubts in the minds of many people, whether the IPL would continue or not.

In the recent IPL Governing Council meeting it was decided to form a  six member working group to analyze the  report which was submitted by Justice Lodha Committee. According to the verdict the teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned for the period of two years as their co-owners, Mr. Gurunath Meiyappan the son in law of ICC Chairman N.Srinivasan and Mr. Raj Kundra respectively were found guilty in the betting scandal. All this has put a question on the future of many young cricketers who were part of these two teams.

In his recent interview former Indian captain Rahul Dravid said that its only because of the few persons that the game of cricket and some cricket has to suffer. He also added it is the bottom of the pyramid who are most affected and generally the top players and coaches always find stuff to do after such incident. Apart from this in an interview when it was asked from Rajeev Shukla about next IPL he said that they are always concerned about the IPL  and the idea is to have a full format with a minimum of eight teams as it is not possible to hold the event with six teams.
