Huawei Announces Honor 7 In India | Check Specs And Price
Huawei was a relatively late entry in the low to mid-range Indian smartphone market, but when they did enter it, they did so well. Launching with a couple of great products – The Honor 6, Holly, and 4X have all been very well received – at some very competitive prices, the company gave some much needed competition to brands like Xiaomi, YU, OnePlus and so on and so forth.
Now, the company is ready for the India launch of its next flagship, the successor the Huawei Honor 6, the Huawei Honor 7. The smartphone is set to launch in New Delhi on Wednesday, October 8th, and Huawei has already sent out the invites.
Based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Huawei Honor 7 has a body completely made of an aluminum alloy, giving it a premium feel. It features a 5.2-inch IPS-LCD display with a Full HD, 1920×1080 resolution, at a very respectable 423ppi. Like the Huawei Honor 6, it comes with Huawei’s in house processor, in this case the Kirin 935. Also Read – iPhone 7
A 64-bit chip, the octacore processor features four 2.2Ghz Cortex-A53 cores and four 1.5Ghz cortex-A53 cores, probably configured in a big LITTLE system. It comes with a formidable 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T628 GPU, and features microSD expansion upto 128GB. A battery of 3100mAh should easily last the day.
The Honor 7 sports a 20MP rear camera with phase auto focus detection, which Huawei claims can focus on an object in 0.1 seconds. It features a Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and sapphire glass protection against scratches or damage to the lens. The front camera is a wide-lens 8MP shooter, with an aperture of f/2.4. Much like the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, the Honor 7 also features a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera, which will allow users to unlock the screen just by tapping it once.
For connectivity options, the Huawei Honor 7 features C, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and 4G LTE.
The Chinese version of the Honor 7 is priced at Rs.20,500 for the 16GB variant, Rs.22,600 for the dual-sim 16GB variant and Rs.25,600 for the 64GB variant, so we should expect similar prices when the company announces the phone in India.
